Most of the background information you need to complete this collection of portrait pictures can be found in the Creative Photoshop: Portrait Techniques text by Duncan Evans and Tim Shelbourne.
In this assignment you must shoot, edit and publish the following types of portraits:
1. Head portrait with tungsten flash (High key and low key)
– see p. 16-17
2. Portrait with extreme shadows and highlights
– see p. 20-21
3. Portrait with coloured filter
– see p. 24-25
4. Portrait with chemical distortion
– see p. 26-27
5. Portrait with extreme colour and contrast
– see p. 28-29
6. Portrait with cross processing
– see p. 30-31
7. Portrait with hand colouring
– see p. 32-33
8. Portrait isolating colour for extra effect
– see p. 36-37
Each picture will be evaluated on its final aesthetic artistry as well as your mastery of the techniques outlined in the chapters. Please submit the photographs digitally by sharing them on your Flickr site.
