GENERAL RULES
The contest is open to all high school students in the Stirling School, and will culminate in an exhibition in the student gathering area. Judging will be conducted in class by you, the students!
Entry deadline is Friday, November 11th!
Students may enter in any of the categories listed below, and submit as many pictures as they like. (There is no entry fee for the contest).
Categories:
- Photoshop Manipulation
- Nature/Landscape
- Portrait
- Depth of Field
- Water
Each image must be accompanied by the supplied “Entry Form” with the title of the image, the photographer’s name, the current grade of the student, and a brief description of the picture. Entry forms can be found in the office, as well as the ENTRY FORM BOX, where the forms are to be submitted.

SUBMISSION RULES:
The photos may be submitted via USB key to Mr. Cox’s computer. The pictures can be in either a JPEG or TIFF format.
Please use the following file name for each picture:
- Student name-Grade-Category-Name of Photo
- EXAMPLE: Johndoe-10-Portrait-Eye1
SAMPLE ENTRY

- Title of Photo: “The Eye”
- Student Name: John Doe
- Grade Level: 10

- Description: Using the Macro lens setting, I took a close-up shot of my friend’s eye. I purposely used a black background, and was trying to remove any trace of reflection in the pupil. I think this close-up portrait showcases a strong understanding of “The Rule of Thirds”.
